Luzon Development Bank, LDB in celebration of its 55 years of personalized service in the banking industry recognized its loyal employees who served the bank all these years.
Topping the “Gawad Parangal”, a Filipino phrase for Awards and Recognition which was held at Old Swiss Inn in Makati City was Ms. Remedios Lavina, a cashier of LDB Binan Branch. Ms. Lavina, who worked for 37 years in LDB, shared her fond memories of her work in the bank. She also shared that she found the love of her life in the company in the person of Mr. Noel Lavina, a co-awardee, serving 24 years.
All top awardees of 25 years to 37 years shared how Luzon Development Bank changed their lives. LDB way back, which was then personally managed by Mr. Felix H. Limcaoco, Chairman Emeritus, the father of the current President and Chairman, Mr. Felix “Bingo” K. Limcaoco III according to the awardees, helped mold the employees to do the best they can to get the trust and confidence of their depositors and business partners. Now, these loyal employees shared that trustworthiness and dedication to ones work can bring their children to good school like Ateneo and UP and be proud that they have raised their children well while working in the bank.
“In the office, we spend more time with our co-workers than we do with our families thus, it was also where I found my ex-boyfriend, who is now the father of my children and my husband”, said Ms. Remedios Lavina in Filipino on her sharing moment as 37 Years of Service Loyalty Awardee.
LDB’s Gawad Parangal is management’s way of honoring employees who have given most of their life to dedicated service to the bank.
